Build more small town builds

These buses need way more stops. I can’t think of anything worse then a bus going through my neighborhood without stoping If you want express traffic rather built trams on separated tracks (like in Seattle) - or just built a (overground) subway

The huge freeway cutting New Chelsea and the huge cloverleaf there are a huge eyesore, and they're always kinda empty! I would suggest transforming them into zoneable avenues instead and that cloverleaf could just be a big roundabout, would be smaller and leave room for more development in a central area. Love your city. Cheers

In all seriousness, you're the only CS2 creator that I can watch for hours on end. Your cities also look MUCH more realistic than those from other people. I don't know if it's the funny comments, the music, or what it is, but your videos are definitely the CS2 gold standard.

Fwiw, I love this series overall, and I think a lot of your builds are really cool, but I think this one really missed the mark. I know I may be on an island here, but I also put a lot of emphasis on builds being functional and not purely cosmetic, and this build had a lot of cosmetic-focused development (mixing non-functional buildings together to build the campus). I know that you didn't want to carve up too much of the downtown (which I totally get), but I would've liked to see more of a combination of functional structures (without overlapping). Maybe even just using the hospital and a smaller college/university and then creating a larger education/medical complex on the outskirts of the core metro area where you have cheaper land for eminent domain. Just my opinion. I will still keep watching the series regardless and obviously don't expect you to go back and change any of this build, but maybe to keep it in mind for future builds.

I wish there was a secondary district too where you could set districts within districts so you could designate an entire city and see it's population and statistics while also having sub-districts within that city like you've been doing

You used to be so good at doing highways in CS1, I think the new tools in CS2 are hindering your abilities. More grade separation and less lane math would do wonders for your traffic situation methinks.

You should get the custom road pack mod, it’s SO useful. An example is the pedestrian alleys, which are awesome for a historic feel.

I really think you should develop the area to the east of New Chelsea. The transition from high rises to farm land within a couple hundred meters seems a little too drastic :)

Low key the nuclear power plant guys have me convinced. Exceptional vid as always. Lol the inclusion of that lake turned the new area from "yeah thats the hood" to someplace a bit more pleasant.

@ 18:00 you have the Traffic mod which allows lane connection changes! It works on Highways too. I love that mod for complex intersections

Fun fact: By placing stop signs along a one way tram track you can turn it into a two way single track line. Great for making rural old tram lines with just a few passing loops.

Why don't you just reroute the Riverview Expressway on/off ramps to interact with the new roundabout. Would alleviate pressure on to the Dean Highway without those current junctions that remain a bit snarled up

If you don't want to have broken grids you should only have snapping to grids, angles and length enabled

26:00 idk if this is good, but why not 2 large roundabouts? and just add slip lanes to them for the highway if needed

If you click on the traffic cone up top left, you can create dedicated lanes when you select the intersection. Similar to CS1

Make a skyscraper courthouse

I suggest the name of D25 for the row house district. Id imagine the renaming happening during the construction of the I25, so the majors office wasnt as creative naming the new district, and said "Thats District 25". I see the non-creativity as a homage to the naming scheme of the city, and I like some "unusual" district names, that have numbers in it as well.

bring back cs1 content surely

To create perfect grids and avoid messing them when connecting to other segments I reccomend you to draw the road past the intersecting road and then remocing the segment you don't need.

So the riverview has the money for extending trams but not for building big multi level intersections? That's a scandal! That's communism!

Does anyone know if CS2 is safe to play now? Played it release and it was horrible so i refunded. I don't know if they fixed it or should i wait.
